At Niagara Falls Convention Centre, we are deeply committed to sustainability and our core social responsibility. We recognize that our actions have a significant impact on the environment and the local community. Therefore, we have implemented a range of initiatives across our facilities, operations, food and beverage services, engineering, and human resources to ensure that we operate in an environmentally responsible and socially conscious manner.
In 2011, Niagara Falls Convention Centre was constructed as a Silver Level LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) facility from the Canada Green Building Council, which means our Centre was constructed following a strict set of environmental criteria that is recognized internationally.
Our sustainability practices involves making conscious choices that reduce environmental impact, support local communities, and preserve resources for future generations. Adopting sustainable approaches such as purchasing from small businesses in the community, using plastic alternatives for packaging, building relationships with sustainable vendors, donating remaining food to local shelters, and supporting local beekeepers can make a significant positive impact on the environment and community. These approaches help reduce waste, support ethical practices, protect the ecosystem, and sustain biodiversity. By making sustainable choices, we can create a more sustainable future for ourselves and generations to come.
