Niagara and the Sustainability Challenge
The Scotiabank Convention Centre is committed to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. One of the ways this is demonstrated is through the Centre’s green food program, that utilizes local farmers along with joint grants from the agricultural ministry to promote food from local farms on all menus served. In addition, the Centre’s endorsing celebrity chef, Anna Olson, and the food professionals from Centerplate, design and create unique menus that: reflect Niagara's rich abundance of colourful and deliciously fresh seasonal offerings; and, further develop regional food programs that promote fresh farm produce. We take pride in delivering the very best from a region rich in culinary experiences; thanks to its unique micro-climate and world-class viti + agricultural industries.
The Centre’s 'Add a bit of Anna’ program offers guests and visitors the opportunity to enjoy Niagara's bountiful harvest, through distinctively balanced ingredients, freshly sourced from local suppliers.
