Lisa Serada joins the team at the Scotiabank Convention Centre, in Niagara Falls, as Senior Sales Manager

Niagara Falls, Ontario (February 7, 2012) – The Scotiabank Convention Centre, in Niagara Falls (SCCN), is proud to announce the arrival of Lisa Serada, who joins the team of sales professionals as Senior Sales Manager, National & International Associations.

"Ms. Serada's track record in the [hospitality & tourism] industry is very impressive," says Jeff Dixon, Assistant General Manager at the Scotiabank Convention Centre. "Her insights and experience promise great results in the National & International Associations market. We’re very excited to have her come on-board with us."

A native of the Niagara Region, Lisa has, for over 20 years, worked in various locations and in various roles throughout Niagara and Western New York. Prior to her arrival at the SCCN, Lisa had worked for the Niagara Parks Commission (NPC), as Director of Meeting & Convention Sales; a position she held with great success for over 10 years. During her tenure at the NPC, Lisa brought about great change by affecting positive growth through her leadership in creating and developing the Meetings, Conventions & Incentive Travel department. Lisa Serada brings to the SCCN a positive energy, bountiful enthusiasm, and a deep passion for the Niagara Region.

"I feel like I'm coming home," said Lisa excitedly about her arrival at the SCCN. As a previous board representative for the Niagara Parks Commission, Lisa played an instrumental role in the development and growth of Niagara's newest conventions and meetings facility. "For the last few years, I have worked very closely with Kerry [Painter, SCCN President & GM], Jeff [Dixon] and others in the sales team; so finding myself here seems very natural."

Lisa's first week at the Scotiabank Convention Centre will require her to 'hit the ground running'; she’ll be travelling with members of the SCCN sales team to Ottawa, for this year's CSAE Tête-à-Tête (Thursday, February. 9, 2012), an important event which plays host to countless Provincial and National Associations and offers conventions and meetings facilities an opportunity to showcase their venues.
