Extraordinary and Sustainable menu planning is easy if you keep two core components in mind: Regional and Seasonal. Sure we can offer the standard buffets with a chicken breast and green beans, but why would we? Traditional doesn’t have to be boring and our unconventional approach to food will be what you and your guests will remember from their visit to the Scotiabank Convention Centre.
With the assistance and talents of food professionals from Centerplate*, our preferred food and beverage vendor, we strive to personalize our clients’ desires while serving as much content from the Niagara Region as possible. Four seasonally inspired feature menus are also available, designed on the mantra “If it grows together it goes together!” meaning, if it is in season at the same time it’s likely to taste wonderful when put together in a pot or recipe. This is the famous lesson uttered daily by the Centre’s endorsing celebrity Chef Anna Olson, Food Network Canada TV personality and author. Clients who wish to pair their green meetings and unconventional events with fresh local food offerings can easily do so and will find this food designer’s approach to blending herbs, vegetables, meats and desserts into amazing tastes will have guests raving.
Team building food activities, chef tables, and cooking lessons are available to Scotiabank Convention Centre clients wishing to hire either Ms. Olson or Centerplate’s executive chef. In addition, Ms. Olson may be hired to tailor menus as requested or as a featured speaker. Autographed cook books for gifts or yourself can be attained through your Event staff.
